Gaining Ground grows organic vegetables and fruit with the help of hundreds of community volunteers and donates all of this fresh food to area meal programs and food pantries. Based in historic Concord, Massachusetts, Gaining Ground raises and distributes approximately 20,000 pounds of produce each growing season. We love the many local farmers (including the legendary Joe Palumbo) who have generously volunteered to plow our fields, year after year. But now we need to buy our own tractor—with your help.
We need to plow our fields when the time is right, to mow cover crops, and to do the heavy lifting that is beyond the abilities of even the most enthusiastic volunteer group.
A tractor is a major investment. But one that will serve us well for years or even decades. With a tractor, we can empower our talented farm staff, keep volunteers focused on meaningful work, and grow more food for hunger relief.
Your generous support will help us buy, equip, and maintain a tractor this season—and use it far into the future. Please make your contribution to Gaining Ground today.
